Financial Management

The day to day financial management of your business is as simple as raising timely client invoices, chasing client POs, reducing your debtors days, compiling creditor payment runs and cash-flow forecasts to manage your tax liability deadlines. Not so simple when you need to concentrate your efforts on bringing in new business.

Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping gives your business visibility to make informed decisions. Reliable, real time, financial information by maintaining the day to day movements of your accounts, allowing for the preparation of Financial Statements and reports: Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Aged Creditors and Debtors.

Cashback

A bookkeeper is cheaper than using an accountant for your day-to-day financial transactions. Using a remote bookkeeper for the hours in the month your business needs means their hourly rate isn’t contributing towards the fixed costs of running an office. A remote bookkeeper removes the added cost to your business of committing to a salaried employee in the same function.

The Design, Marketing and Creative sectors

These sectors are usually project focussed driven by their own budgets, with individual P+Ls to determine their gross profit margins. Timesheet utilisation is often essential to ensure profitability of each project to maximise the bottom line of the overall business.

Once the turnover of your business reaches £85K on a rolling month basis, you must register it for VAT. This means a VAT return must be submitted on a quarterly basis via HMRC recognised digital software. I can help with all aspects of your VAT from an initial rolling basis calculation to determine registration, to registering your business and finally compiling and submitted the return.

Case Study: After registering one of my start-up clients recently for VAT, I went though their last 4 years of fixed assets and 6 months of business-related costs which resulted in a £3K VAT tax rebate.*

VAT

*Exact VAT calculations and circumstances are unique to each individual business and there is no guarantee of any financial or otherwise rewards for being VAT registered. I do not advise on your tax circumstances but only help with calculations & management of your tax liabilities to HMRC.
